The Independence group of companies was founded in 1992. It was then that Independence for the first time made a name for itself on the car market, becoming one of the first official Volvo dealers in the Russian Federation.
Today we continue to enjoy the reputation of the most famous dealer of the Swedish concern. Independence's share of the Russian Volvo sales amount to about 23%, and the company's service center handles up to 40% of Volvo cars utilized in Moscow and its whereabouts. Our achievements during recent years show that the Independence company deserves the awards it received from Volvo Car Russia in the following nominations: Best Dealer — Customer Relations. Sales, and Best Dealer — Customer Relations. Service. But Volvo is by no means the only brand we trade in Russia.
In 1998 the Independence group of companies acquired the Audi Center Moscow company — the biggest official dealer of the German concern Audi AG. Since 2005 Audi Center Moscow has been an uncontestable leader in terms of Audi sales, and in 2007 the company was awarded the Best Dealer of Moscow and St.Petersburg title.
In 2000 Independence became an official dealer for the Ford Motor Company — the world's second largest carmaker. Since that year the company has been experiencing the quickest growth in its history. Following a strategic development program, Independence included into its portfolio of traded brands Land Rover and Volkswagen, and also began expansion in the most promising regions of Russia.
The Independence Land Rover dealership became the best dealer in Moscow while still in the first year of operation, and according to 2004 and 2005 results it was recognized as the best dealer both in Russia and in Moscow, and also received awards for the best service center. The Auto Ganza company, an official dealer of Volkswagen AG, has been an uncontestable Volkswagen sales leader since 2004.
In late 2003, after it became an official dealer for Jaguar, Independence put into full-scale operation the PAG (Premier Automotive Group) center, the biggest in Europe, for sale and after-sales service of luxury cars from the Ford Motor Company. PAG handles the company's three luxury brands — Volvo, Land Rover, and Jaguar. In recent years the Independence company has been steadily occupying top positions in Jaguar sales among all European dealers.
In September 2004 Independence became an official Mazda dealer, and in September 2007 the portfolio of Independence-traded brands had a new arrival. In the center of Moscow, at 1 Krasnokholmskaya Naberezhnaya (Embankment), bld.3, the company opened a Peugeot show-room.
Today the Independence company has considerable financial resources allowing to carry out any big-scale projects for the conduct and expansion of business operations.
